How long will it take to see results?

It normally takes a few sessions for you to become aware of changes and improvements in your life.  Everybody is different and will have different goals depending on their situation.  We generally recommend booking a block of six sessions with a review during the fourth, before deciding on any further help.

How do I know I am getting a good service?

As a qualified counsellor, I am bound by BACP's Ethical Framework and receive regular supervision.  This is provided by a trained counsellor and supervisor, and accredited member of BACP.  A copy of BACP's Ethical Framework can be supplied on request.

Supervision is essential in providing a professional and trustworthy service. This is when a counsellor will discuss the work they are doing with their clients and seek advice when required.  During supervision a client's identity will not be disclosed.

The work carried out between the counsellor and client is strictly confidential.  In the event that you, a vulnerable person or a child under 16 years of age is at serious risk of harm, the counsellor will discuss with you your options and an appropriate way forward.

How much do you charge?

The initial consultation is charged at standard rate.  This is an informal chat that helps us establish what you would like to gain from counselling and whether you feel safe to continue with us.  Their is no obligation to continue with counselling.  Our charges have been set slightly below the average price in this area enabling more people to access help for mental health issues.  For further information, please click here.

When are you available?

My room is currently available:

Monday to Friday: 9AM to 10PM
Saturday: 9AM to 12:30PM
Sunday: Closed

However, I am contactable between the hours of 8:30AM & 10PM; Monday to Saturday.

If I am with a client or unable to receive your call, I will call you back as soon as I am able.

Where are you based?

My room can be found within Westerfield Business Centre, which is two miles north of Ipswich town centre.
